April Favourites

After my Go to Beauty Products post went down so well, I thought that I would do an April Favourites containing all the things I have loved this month. There a few different things like, beauty and weight loss products; basically anything and everything that I have loved this month.

So my first favourite has got to be the trustworthy Vaseline! Because of the constant change in weather my skin and lips are suffering so badly. Dry skin has become the bane of my life !  So I did a little research and found that Vaseline locks in moisture after applying moisturiser to any part of your body; so this is what I did.  At night I put eye cream under my eyes and then dab a small amount of Vaseline on top once it was soaked in, after about 3 days of doing this my skin was back to normal.  I literally do not leave the house without this in my handbag anymore.

I know I mentioned this product in my beauty go to post, but since buying this at the start of the month I have used nothing else to contour (apart from bronzer of course).  It blends out so well and doesn't go muddy at all which I have found to be a big problem with several other products I have tried, so for me I will continue to use this unless another contouring product takes my fancy and works as well as this beauty does.

Like many other girls my age we are constantly being confronted with images of how we should look and being told this is how we should look, and for me it has affected the way I see myself and am now on a mission to lose weight and most importantly be healthy.  So this month for me has been about facing it head on and exercise nearly everyday, depending on how much free time I have.  I have never been good at committing to the gym so decided I would do home workouts, which meant that I needed something fun and energetic which lead me to Charlotte Crosbys 3 Minute Belly Blitz.  OMG it is not as easy as it looks, it contains 12 rounds of 3 minute HIIT workouts in it including a warm up and cool down and an extra ab session.  It is the only workout DVD that I have stuck to and haven't got bored of.

I have also added protein shakes to my diet after experiencing bad results with meal replacement shakes that are packed full of sugar.  I now eat 3 meals a day with 2 snacks; one in-between breakfast and lunch and another in-between lunch and dinner. I have a protein shake as one of the snacks and then on top of these 2 snacks I will have another shake about 30 minutes before dinner so that I don't consume as much food at dinner time.  The Protein powder I use is by Maxinutrition its low in sugar and carbs but high in protein; so you don't have to worry about carbs if you are on a low carb diet.
